I have listened to Jim Cooper talk about the health care plans the past several weeks. He claims to be a "Blue Dog" Democrat, based on principal and fiscal conservatism, but in the end whether it is the stimulus plan, the budget or healthcare he falls right into line and votes how Pelosi tells him to vote. Just like Saturday, November 7th Rep. Cooper released that I wrote about here where he proves that he has no foundational principals that he believes in. He is nothing but a politician that will say all the right things to the people he talks to, but does the exact opposite in the end.

God Bless,

With this weekends vote on "Healthcare Reform" - no I mean "Evil Insurance Reform" - where the leaders in Congress ignored the will of the American people and broke a few arms to get it passed with only one Republican voting for it (we will get to him later), I have decided that what we need if we want to move Washington D.C. out of the special interest groups and lobbist pockets term limits need to be set.

Here are two examples alone that have helped me come to this conclusion.

The BHO administration and their press corp must think that we the people are a bunch of mindless fools. They have talked since the campaign about cutting the budget and going "line by line" to find the "waste".

American Dad

Yesterday was a great day. I arrived at Legislative Plaza in Downtown Nashville at 11:00 am and the crowd at that time easily matched up to the 600 that we had on 2/27/08. Then by 11:15 am we had over 1,500 people getting ready to protest outrageous government spending and intrusion and support lower taxes. By the time 12:00 pm rolled around the plaza was nearly completely full and we easily had 5,000 people.

I was listening to the radio today and they made a point that I really had never thought about. Think about this for a minute. If the Republican Party is for the rich guy and the Democratic Party is for the common man . . .

Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck and the Conservative Blogospheres have been talking about the type of path that BHO would lead this country. It was based on his past associations as well as the things he said on the campaign trail during the past two years. However, that was ignored by millions of voters who fell for the MSMs potrayal and the slogans of BHO and voted for, as Sean Hannity has said, Obamassiah to be our new President.

It should come as no surprise now that less than a month into BHOs administration we find ourselves at a crossroad of the direction this country.

  • On the one side , you have capitalism, free markets, lower taxes and less government involvement in American's everyday lives. This path will allow the private sector to work out the companies that were run into the ground and allow better run companies to move ahead and grow.
  • On the opposite side, you have socialism, cloased markets, higher taxes and an enormose government involvement in American's everyday lives. This path will grow the public sector and control the private sector to save the companies that were run poorly while keeping the executives who ran the company into the ground in place. This path suppresses the smaller companies from growing to take the place of these companies because there will no void in the market for them to fill. This path makes people more and more reliant on the government to supply their everyday needs. This path leads us further down the Nanny State that is seen in Europe and certain parts of Asia.

This "Retardant" plan that passed the Senate yesterday and is being worked out in Conference Committee right now is leading us down the second path. This is the path that according to a Rasmussen.com poll on Monday shows that 62% of Americans want more tax cuts and less government spending http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/february_2009/62_want_stimulus_plan_to_have_more_tax_cuts_less_spending.
